Frequently asked questions about DevOps & Cloud

Do we really need Kubernetes?
Not always. Kubernetes pays off from a certain complexity and scale. For smaller setups, Docker Compose or managed services are often more economical. We recommend the solution that fits your load, not the most elaborate one.
Which provider do you host on?
We are provider-neutral. Often on German infrastructure such as Hetzner, as well as AWS, Azure or GCP. The choice depends on data protection, cost and availability requirements.
How do you ensure high availability?
Through redundant architectures, automated CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and defined recovery processes. The goal is systems that absorb failures before users notice them.
Do you also handle ongoing operations?
Yes. On request we operate and monitor your infrastructure as a managed service, including updates, backups and incident response.
Kubernetes vs. Docker Compose: when is each worth it?
Docker Compose is enough for single servers and simple setups. Kubernetes pays off with multiple services, high availability and automatic scaling. We recommend the solution that fits your load, not the most complex one.
Hetzner vs. AWS: which is cheaper and GDPR-compliant?
Hetzner offers German data centers at significantly lower prices and fits predictable loads and data protection needs. AWS shines for global reach and managed services. A combination is often the best answer.
GitOps with ArgoCD vs. classic CI/CD deployments: which is better?
Classic pipelines actively push changes to the environment. GitOps with ArgoCD uses Git as the single source of truth: the cluster reconciles itself to the desired state. That improves traceability and eases rollbacks, especially with Kubernetes.
Managed Kubernetes vs. self-operated: which fits us?
Managed Kubernetes takes the control plane off your hands and saves time. Self-operated, for example on Hetzner, offers maximum control and cost advantages. We assess both based on your team, budget and compliance.
